Definately not 'official',
but a bunch of us went for a mad scream up the M6 to the
Lake Disctrict to experience being on top of England's
highest peak. The weather proved ideal, and the scenery
incredible, and all 7 made the peak after much walking
and scrambling.
The weekend was essentially
a training walk for some of the team who are planning
to attempt the 'Three Peaks in 24 hours' Challenge in
early September : Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon
- all in 24 hours!
Left to right, Karen and
Steve Kendall, Debbie Dunn, Nigel Panter, Simon Hilton,
Simon Dunn and Jorge Pereperez.

Easter Bank Holiday
ramble - Bishopsbourne and Pett Bottom
Whilst not an 'official' Christ
church event, some people from church got together on Easter
Monday and if you would like to join us another time do let
us know. Interest is increasing in doing a walk together especially
on Bank holidays. To register your interest for future walks
please email
here.
A good last minute turnout of
17 joined to enjoy the sunshine and Easter fellowship rambling
a comfortable 6 miles across the rolling Kentish downs. "Did
you know that James Bond code number 007 was named after the
number of the local Dover bus which went past his house where
Ian Flemming was writing (when he wasn't in Jamaica)..?!"
